This Trip
Pun Hill is one of the popular trekking destination in
the massif of Annapurnas. This easy but mostly up and
down route follows the main trail to Annapurna Sanctuary
and traverses through scenic rice fields, lush forest
of rhododendron and beautiful villages mostly inhabited
by Gurungs and Magars. Himalayan Peaks of Annapurna such
as Annapurna South (7,219m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna
III (7,555m), Annapurna IV (7,525m) and Fishtail (Machhapuchhare)
(6,997m) becomes visible from the very first day of the
Ghorepani and Pun Hill Trek.
These majestic mountains appear different everyday. From
Ghorepani and Poon Hill, you can get an even better and
close up views of two ranges, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
An hour's hike up from Ghorepani to Pun Hill early in
the morning bestows you with magnificent sunrise views
over more than 10 peaks of Annapurna and Dhaularigi massif.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu, receive and transfer
to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara, Overnight at hotel.
(You can plan an extra day for rafting in Trishuli and
camping by the river bank on your way to Pokhara.)
Day 04: Drive to Phedi (30 minutes). Trek to Potana
via Dhampus. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Landruk.
Day 06: Trek to Ghandruk.
Day 07: Trek to Tadapani.
Day 08: Trek to Ghorepani (2860 m).
Day 09: Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,290
m) for sunrise view over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. After
breakfast, trek to Tikhedunga.
Day 10: Trek to Nayapool. Trek ends, drive to
Pokhara, and transfer to hotel
Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu and enjoy free day shopping
and packing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to airport for Final departure.
